AV-TEST, one of the leading anti-virus software evaluating organizations, has published statistics on the number of malware. The pace at which the number of pests for Windows is growing is simply amazing.
Thus, during 2022, about 70 million new samples of malware appeared for Windows. At the same time, about 12,000 new viruses have appeared for macOS. For Linux , cyberattackers have created about 2 million malware.
The organization notes that since September, the growth rate of the number of viruses for Windows has decreased, while for macOS has increased. For Linux , they will be minimal during this period.
