Following the easing of restrictions on drone flights late last year, Japan will tighten requirements for tier four flights. In the spring, only owners of new national rights will be allowed to control unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

To obtain permission to manage the UAV, you will need to undergo a medical examination, pass written exams and demonstrate management skills in practice.
While the innovation has not entered into force, the authorities are checking the safety of UAVs for fourth-level flights.
