Researchers at Tel Aviv University have developed a biological sensor with which the robot was able to “feel” odors.

It is reported by i24news.

Experts have connected the sensor to an electronic system that detects odors. Its sensitivity level was 10,000 times higher than that of existing electronic devices.

This sensor will send electrical signals when there is an odor nearby that the system is able to detect and interpret.

According to researchers, their development has considerable potential. In the future, it can be used to identify hazardous substances, in particular, explosives, as well as to determine drugs.

Earlier, we reported that the Chinese company Xiaomi presented a modular robot Mijia, consisting of hinge elements.
