Techno giants continue to reduce staff. Now, Alphabet, Google’s parent company, has said it will eliminate about 12,000 jobs. This is reported by Bloomberg.

According to the agency, 12000 employees are about 6% of the company’s staff worldwide.

Employees received notices of the cuts by email from the company’s CEO, Sundar Pichai. He noted that he assumes “full responsibility for the decision.”

The CEO promised that reduced workers would receive severance pay within 16 weeks. In addition, U.S. employees will receive six months of medical care. In other countries, this term will vary in accordance with local laws.
