Cybercriminals attacked the servers of the American mobile operator T-Mobile. They stole the data of 37 million customers of the company, the publication wrote The Wall Street Journal.
The company has already responded to the incident. They acknowledged that the hackers managed to gain access to their customers’ birth dates and payment addresses. According to preliminary estimates, there are more than 37 million victims.
However, T-Mobile convinces that the most confidential information, in particular, credit card numbers, social security numbers and account passwords, did not fall into the hands of attackers.
The publication reports that the company’s specialists are now investigating together with US law enforcement officers. The company already admits that they are threatened with significant losses as a result of the incident, but it will not have any significant impact on the company.
