Google’s MusicLM neural network, which generates musical compositions at the request of users, was presented. It is based on media libraries and audio files with a total timing of 280 thousand hours.

MusicLM is able to create not only compositions for specific requests, but also abstract music of mood and feelings. To get acquainted with the Google neural network presented several dozen tracks. Among them is “Music for arcade game”, “Space music”, “Melodies for meditation”, soundtracks to paintings by Vincent Van Gogh “Starry Night” and Salvador Dali “Permanence of Memory”.

At the same time, the company does not promise the possibility of public access to MusicLM. This is primarily due to the likelihood of copyright infringement. As noted, almost 1% of neural network compositions copy licensed music from the basic media library.

Recall that designer Marcus Brin with the help of the Midjourney AI neural network and the Photoshop editor created gadgets in the style of Antonio Gaudi.
