South Korean corporation Samsung is refusing to use a combination of Exynos and Snapdragon chips in Galaxy’s flagship smartphones . This is stated in the article posted on the Korean portal Daum.

On global smartphone models, the Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra will only use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Their presentation will take place in February. The Galaxy S23 will be Samsung’s first flagship to feature Snapdragon chips.

According to the interlocutors of the portal, Samsung will use only Snapdragon “until the company’s own chip is ready for full functioning.” Samsung does not deny that it is working on developing a proprietary chip for the Galaxy series. According to forecasts, this may happen no earlier than in two years.

Earlier, we reported that the demand for TSMC microchips continues to fall. The main customers, including such leading market players as Intel, AMD, Nvidia and MediaTek, are reducing the volume of purchases.
