Google has announced “its response to Chamberlain” – Bard’s own ai chatbot, which could become a competitor to СhatGPT. The presentation will take place during the Google Presents event in Paris on Wednesday, February 8.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has already called Bard “an experimental conversational artificial intelligence service.” The basis for the chatbot was the existing platform Google Language Model for Dialogue Applications (LaMDA), which the company has been developing for the past two years.

Pichai said the new artificial intelligence will combine the breadth of knowledge with the power, creativity and intelligence of the language models available to date. Bard will use information from the internet and provide accurate answers to questions.

Google is launching a simplified version of the chatbot. It will require significantly lower system characteristics than full-featured counterparts. For now, it will only be available for a user test group. Subsequently, the results will be taken into account for further improvement of the neural network.
