Claude artificial intelligence, a product of Anthropic, coped with the exam in law and economics. He answered some questions better than many people participating in the exam. This was told to Business Insider by economics professor Alex Tabarrock from George Mason University in Virginia.

Although the level of knowledge in AI, according to examiners, was quite low, it received a marginal passing score. Claude differs from competing chatbots in that it does not operate with concepts such as “good”, “bad” and “forbidden” but uses a set of available data. He expresses a personal opinion on any topics, but stops communicating, weighing the question meaningless or provocative. The researchers noted Claude’s ability to defend a personal point of view. In this it is superior to ChatGPT. Claude is an artificial personality unlike the intellectual ChatGPT tool.

Among the shortcomings, Tabarroque pointed out that the answers do not contain enough “economic reasoning” and are mostly the “point of view” of artificial intelligence.

Claude is a development of the research company Anthropic. FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried invested in its creation. In the spring of 2022, Anthropic, which studies the security of artificial intelligence, received $580 million from it.

To recap, Microsoft announced that it will make a multibillion-dollar investment in OpenAI. The latter is the developer of artificial intelligence ChatGPT.
