According to the Tom’s Hardware portal, in the near future we can expect the appearance of a new “Gallery” and “Explorer” in the Windows 11 operating system.

These updates were discovered by experts in the developer version of Windows 11 (build 25300). Screenshots published on the portal demonstrate the modern design of the image gallery and the built-in search for various parameters directly in the program window. Developer under the nickname Albacore, who discovered the update, notes that the new gallery is based on the extensible XAML markup language due to a new WASDK-based explorer.

According to Albacore, the new “Gallery” is not as bright as Phodeo, a three-dimensional application for watching media content from Microsoft, which remained at the concept stage and was not implemented in any of the versions of Windows. However, the attempt deserves attention.

Recall that from January 10, 2023, Microsoft finally stopped supporting the once popular operating systems Windows 7 and 8.
