The test version of the Microsoft Edge browser embeds a banner on the official Chrome website urging users not to switch to the browser from Google. This is reported by the portal Neowin.

We are currently talking about the Canary version of the Microsoft Edge desktop version. When the user tries to download Google Chrome, a large banner appears at the top of the Edge window. It claims that Edge runs on the same technology as Chrome, but with added reliability from Microsoft.

This is how Microsoft warns its users against using other browsers. Experts hope that such aggressive advertising is only a test version and will not be introduced to the general public.

Previously, Microsoft added a built-in VPN service Secure Network to version 110 of the Edge browser.
