Canadian civil servants have been banned from using TikTok on all service devices. This is due to vulnerability to cyberattacks. This was reported by the National Post, citing official information provided by the Internal Department of Canada.

Global Affairs Canada employees received a letter stating that the TikTok app “will be automatically removed and blocked for use on all mobile devices of civil servants.” This decision was made by the Chief Information Director for the sake of securing government information systems and networks.

As a reminder, the requirement to ban the use of the social network TikTok was received by employees of the European Commission. We are talking about emails in which the guide demands that TikTok be removed from working smartphones.
