A commercial court in Paris fined Apple corporation €1 million. The reason is the restriction of access of French developers to the App Store, as well as the imposition of unfavorable conditions for cooperation. This was reported byReuters.

The court order does not mention attempts to oblige the IT giant to change the algorithm of interaction with developers. Themis was limited solely to financial sanctions. This is due to the fact that from the first half of 2023, the Digital Markets Act will begin to operate in the territory of the EU countries, according to which Apple you still have to make changes to your policy. Including Apple will be obliged to allow applications from third-party stores to be installed on its gadgets.

Reuters noted that the court’s verdict could be considered an important precedent because it demonstrates that Apple is losing control of the App Store.
