Microsoft Tech Giant fined by France for the largest amount this year, amounting to 60 million euros. Penalties imposed for the policy of collecting user data in a search engine Bing.

It is reported by France24.

After conducting an investigation, the regulator found that cookies were stored on the terminal of users accessing the Bing site without their consent. There was no button with which it was possible to refuse to save these files. This contributed to their use for the distribution of advertising.

Too many penalties are due, among other things, to the profits Microsoft has received from commercials through cookies.

To remedy the situation, the company received three months, after which the penalties will be 60 thousand euros per day.

Earlier, the Irish Data Protection Commission fined the social network Instagram €405 million.
