The European Parliament wants to ban the use of manufacturers of non-removable batteries. This is stated on the EU website.

This will allow users to independently replace the batteries if they fail. In addition, manufacturers will be required to label batteries with special plates and QR codes with information about the capacity, life cycle and chemical composition of batteries.

The site notes that these rules will apply to all types of batteries that will be sold in the EU.

If the relevant decision is made by the Parliament and the EU Council, manufacturers will be given 3.5 years to implement it.
