Google learned to distinguish between the “cuneiform” of doctors known for their illegible handwriting. How according to the publication TechCrunch, during the annual conference held in India, representatives of the search engine said that the corporation cooperates with pharmacists. The purpose of this cooperation is to introduce into the search engine a new function of “deciphering” recipes written in bad handwriting.

The feature that appears in Google Lens will allow users to take a picture of the recipe or download it from the photo library. When the image is processed, the program will determine which drugs are referred to in the prescription.

The problem of “decrypting” prescriptions written by doctors is not new. For several decades, technology firms have been trying to solve it, but have not yet achieved success.

Earlier we talked about the cipher machine of the Second World War, the legendary Enigma.
