The social network Twitter has suspended an account dedicated to tracking Elon Musk’s private jet. It is reported by CNBC.

The owner of the account, American student Jack Sweeney, became famous in January this year, after creating a bot that automatically tracked the movements of Elon Musk’s private jets. Public flight data was used for this. The @ElonJet account has amassed over 500k followers.

After the account was blocked, Sweeney encouraged users to subscribe to his pages on other platforms.

Earlier, Jack Sweeney rejected Musk’s offer of $ 5000 and a Tesla car in exchange for stopping the account’s activity. He stated that he was too pleased with the very process of tracking the billionaire’s plane for him to volunteer to give it up for an amount less than $ 50, 000.

Musk, in turn, stated that he was a supporter of free speech, and therefore was not going to block this account despite the fact that it “poses a direct risk to his personal safety.”
