Twitter has published part of the source code of its social network. A piece of code belonging to the recommender system was published on GitHub in order to attract third-party developers to improve it.

The recommendation system of the social network is responsible for the content of users’ feeds. According to Elon Musk, code transparency will help attract third-party developers. They will improve the algorithm of the social network in the field of legality of content offered to users.

Also, Elon Musk promised that he will add even more source code later. He also noted that the system will update the recommendation mechanism based on suggestions coming from users. This will happen every two days.
