Chinese tech giant Baidu, known by a search engine of the same name, is suing Apple and several developers. The lawsuit over the promotion of fake Ernie apps has gone to the Beijing People’s Court.

This was reported by Reuters.

As you know, Ernie from Baidu is an analogue of ChatGPT. The web version of the Ernie service was launched in March 2023, currently there is no official client in the format of a mobile application. Instead, the App Store already presents four fakes of the same name created by different developers.

Baidu states that any Ernie application on the App Store or other stores in the company is a fake. Apple is currently silent about the incident.

Earlier we reported that the Chinese technology giant Baidu has completed testing of its own chatbot with artificial intelligence. It was named Ernie Bot and is an analogue of ChatGPT.
