In the social network for finding and establishing business contacts LinkedIn there will be a free verification system. Thanks to it, users will be able to confirm their identity and place of work.

This is stated on the pages of the publication Tech Crunch.

LinkedIn has partnered with the free identification platform CLEAR. Therefore, users in the United States must provide ID and phone number for verification. You’ll see your confirmation in your account in a new “Reviews” section.

As for other users, verification is currently being tested using the e-mail of the companies where they work. To confirm the place of work, you will need to enter the verification code that came to your work mail. This option can already be used by 4 thousand companies that cooperate with LinkedIn. In the future, LinkedIn plans to distribute it in general.

Currently, the social network is working to ensure that verification takes place using Microsoft Entra Verified ID. The result should be expected at the end of this month.
