To start using WhatsApp messenger, you’ll first need to verify your phone number by registering it with the system. You can do this using the registration code that you receive.

Please note that there are certain registration requirements

  1. The number you register must be able to receive calls and SMS messages.
  2. All apps and settings that can block calls must be turned off on your phone.
  3. You must have an active Internet connection over a mobile network or Wi-Fi network.
  4. WhatsApp can’t register VoIP numbers; landline numbers; toll-free numbers; premium premium numbers; universal access numbers (UAN);

How to sign up for WhatsApp

  1. Enter your phone number. To do this, select a country from the drop-down list and its code will appear in the window on the left. On the right, enter your phone number without adding a “0” at the beginning.
  2. Click “Next” to request a code.
  3. Enter the 6-digit code you receive in the SMS in the window.
  4. If you haven’t received your verification code within 10 minutes, you’ll see a “Call me” option. Use it and you’ll be automatically given a 6-digit code when you call.
