In Italy, the ban on the use of the popular chatbot from OpenAI has been lifted. It was blocked for a month.

In order for the chatbot to meet the requirements of the Italian regulator, the developer had to make changes to their product.

According to an official statement confirming that ChatGPT’s services have resumed operation, OpenAI has volunteered to expand its privacy policy. Individuals across Europe have been able to object to the use of their data to train algorithms.

In addition, the company has introduced an age verification feature, so that ChatGPT can now be accessed only by users over the age of 13. In this case, users under the age of 18 must obtain parental consent.

Earlier, the Italian data protection service announced the launch of an investigation into the chatbot ChatGPT company OpenAI. The reason is a suspicion of violation of the rules for collecting and processing data. At the time of verification, access to the chatbot was closed.
