Samsung has banned its employees from using chatbots like ChatGPT for work purposes. This happened after the discovery of a data leak, Bloomberg reports, citing internal brand correspondence.

The use of generative artificial intelligence on tablets and smartphones owned by the company, as well as in internal networks, is prohibited. The ban does not apply to brand devices that go on sale, such as Android smartphones and laptops on Windows.

In addition, employees were obliged to analyze the information they provide to chatbots and not to share proprietary information and personal data with them. Those who do not comply with the new rules face dismissal.

Recall that in April this year, employees of the Korean company Samsung “leaked” confidential data of the chatbot artificial intelligence ChatGPT.
