Apple considers massive layoffs in the fight against the economic crisis as an “emergency measure.” This was emphasized by CEO Tim cook in an interview with CNBC.

Cook does not share the policies of many IT companies, including Google and Meta, which said goodbye to tens of thousands of employees in 2022 to optimize costs.

I look at it as an extraordinary measure. We are not currently planning any mass layoffs.

Earlier we reported that the Apple brand could not avoid mass layoffs, but conducts them non-publicly. The company methodically gets rid of freelancers.

In addition, since the middle of last year, Apple has continued an unprecedented wave of layoffs among the management team. Since July 2022 alone, eleven top managers have left the company at once. Most of them served as vice presidents.
