Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak believes that generative neural networks can turn into a powerful weapon in the hands of fraudsters. He told about this in a new interview with the Air force.

Wozniak noted that artificial intelligence knows how to create text “that sounds very convincing,” and that’s what can weaponize it. At the same time, in his opinion, the “weak side” of artificial intelligence is emotions – precisely because AI lacks emotions, neural networks are not able to replace humans.

According to Wozniak, governments should introduce responsibility for the dissemination of fakes generated by AI. But responsibility for the negative consequences should be borne not only by the creators of fakes, but also by IT giants. At the same time, Wozniak doubts that this problem will be solved.

He noted that, in his opinion, “the forces for which the main thing is money will win this time, and this is very sad.”

Recall, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates commented on the petition of IT specialists to ban the training of complex artificial intelligence like GPT-3 and GPT-4. This petition was supported by Elon Musk and Steve Wozniak.
