Microsoft has released a statement regarding the innovation that concerns the launch of Windows Copilot. The new AI assistant will be integrated directly into Windows 11.

It will resemble the AI panels available in Edge, Office, and GitHub browsers and will allow Windows 11 users to use the AI assistant in any app or application. You can install Windows Copilot as a sidebar from the taskbar and pin it to the left or right edge of the screen.

The AI assistant will analyze the content on the computer screen and suggest appropriate actions to the user. He is able to paraphrase the text and give the necessary explanations about it or the image. Windows Copilot can also change system settings, open the app, stay tuned, and more.

Built on top of GPT-4, Windows Copilot will support Bing Chat and ChatGPT plugins. This will allow you to extend the functionality of the assistant by integrating add-ons from third-party developers.

Windows Insider program members will be able to test Windows Copilot starting June 2023. When the innovation will become available to the general public is not yet known.

Recall that the US Department of Homeland Security has created a special group that will study AI to ensure the protection of the country.
