TikTok developers are testing their own chatbot called Tako. It should recommend videos based on the user’s requests. It is reported by The Verge.

Tako has been built right into the app under TikTok above the user’s account icon. If you click on its icon, a chat will open. What kind of language model is used for it has not yet been made public.

The publication notes that Tako will offer the user tips to start a conversation with the chatbot.

The new service is currently being tested among Filipino TikTok users. The global launch date has not yet been announced. However, TikTok has already released a bid for the trademark in question, which may indicate the seriousness of the company’s intentions.

Recall that the marketing agency Ubiquitous has a vacancy for many hours of watching videos on TikTok called “TikTok Watching Job 2.0”. Candidates are offered to earn $ 100 per hour on condition of 10-hour work.
