Google has unveiled a number of software updates for Android Auto and Google-equipped cars.
In particular, drivers will now be able to join WebEx or Zoom meetings right on the road from the car’s displays. Apps will only work in audio mode. This, according to Google, makes the trip safer.
In addition, Google has created a Weather Channel app and will send the forecast to the car’s display as well. In the same application, there will be a function that will allow third parties to track a car in case of an emergency.
The company has also developed a digital key that will help lock and unlock vehicles using your phone. The technology will also allow drivers to share digital keys with family and friends wirelessly. However, for now, these features will only be available for some Hyundai, Genesis and Kia models in the United States, Canada and some European countries.
