Meta, in partnership with Ray-Ban owner Luxottica, may soon release a pair of smart glasses.
Original Ray-Ban Stories glasses allow you to take photos and videos with built-in cameras. They also have microphones and speakers for recording and playing audio. However, they did not become popular. According to the Wall Street Journal, less than 10 percent of people who buy smart glasses use them every month.
Despite this, Meta decided to make new glasses. They will allow you to stream live videos on Facebook and Instagram and even hear the comments of people watching the broadcast.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the new smart glasses will have “improved battery life and better cameras,” and they are scheduled to be released in the fall or spring of 2024.
Meta itself has not yet commented on the release of the new product. However, the Connect conference is scheduled for September 27 and 28, where there may be news about glasses.
Recall thatMeta stops supporting NFTs on Facebook and Instagram.
