The social network closes its Circle function. This feature only allowed users to share a post with a group of people.

The company said the feature will stop working on October 31, and users won’t be able to add people to their circle.

“Effective October 31, 2023, X will end support for circles. After this date, you won’t be able to create new posts limited to your circle, and you won’t be able to add people to your circle. However, you will be able to remove people from your circle by unfollowing them as described below,” X said on his support page.

The company will still allow people to view their older posts on the Circle.

Twitter first launched the Circle feature in August 2022. Users could add 150 people to their circle and create only one circle.

However, earlier this year, users started noticing that their circle posts were not marked with a green flag. This led them to believe that the post had spread outside of the Circle. In May, the company confirmed the bug as a “security incident” that allows “users outside of your Twitter circle” to view posts in the Circle.

Recall that social network X can become paid for everyone. Elon Musk has announced the likely collection of monthly payments in the future.
