The dating app Tinder has officially launched its most exclusive subscription, “Tinder Select.” This elite tier will cost you $500 per month (or $6000 per year. For this, unique features become available, such as exclusive search and matching. The company hinted at its opening back in 2019.

However, Tinder Select was not offered to everyone, but only to less than one percent of users that the company considers “extremely active.” The company will open an exclusive subscription for all users, but has not yet announced when this will happen.

At the same time, Tinder still has other subscription options – Plus, Gold, and Platinum, which have monthly memberships for $20, $30, and $40, respectively. Each tier provides different exclusive features (for example, Platinum members can send a message before receiving a like in return).

Whether these paid versions will increase your personal chances of finding a partner is anyone’s guess. However, Tinder and most other dating apps retain unpaid options as well.

Recall Tinder has complicated the system of verifying accounts with video. From now on, users will have to take several video selfies for verification to prove their authenticity and similarity to their profile photo.
