Meta is trying to add newer and better features to its Threads app and is adding newer features. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the app now has the ability to send voice messages. Also, the post editing feature, which we wrote about earlier, is officially appearing.

X (formerly Twitter) took 16 years to add an edit button and then placed it behind a Twitter Blue/X Premium paywall. It took Threads just over three months to introduce a similar option that is free for all users and will be available on mobile devices and the web.

As 9to5Google points out, after posting to Threads, you’ll have five minutes to edit it. That’s a reasonable enough timeframe (X users have up to an hour to set up their tweets). Threads, on the other hand, doesn’t show the edit history of a post. This, on the other hand, is negative for transparency, especially if someone significantly changes the essence of a post that gains popularity very quickly.

In addition, it will be possible to add voice messages in the application.

As a reminder, Threads adds trending features.
