Meta prohibits political advertisers from using its new AI-powered advertising products. It does this to avoid the spread of misinformation.

A month ago, Meta began expanding advertisers’ access to AI-powered advertising tools. They can instantly create backgrounds, adjust images, and vary ad texts in response to simple text prompts.

So far, the goal has not said what the restriction of political advertising is, and it is likely that some of the tools for it will remain.

Previously, Snapchat and TikTok also banned political ads.

Recall that dozens of states have sued Meta for harm to young people. State attorneys general allege that Meta misled citizens about the security of its apps.
