Threads users can now turn off auto-sharing of their posts on Facebook and Instagram.

This can be done in the settings: “Privacy” > “Posts in other applications” and separately disable Instagram and Facebook. However, you’ll still be able to see other people’s posts from Threads in other Meta apps.

Some Threads users were upset that Meta automatically shares posts on Instagram and Facebook, because each social network has its own audience and purpose of content. So now it can be avoided.

With this automatic spread, the company wanted to popularize the new social network faster. Recently, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the number of users of Threads already has more than 100 million users.

As a reminder, Threads has voice messages and an editing function.
