SpaceX has released the third generation of the Starlink base station. It has become lighter and thinner. A stand was also added to it and the motor was removed. For now, Starlink will be available to a small number of customers in the United States.
The device has a 10% increase in field of view and an increase in the rating of protection against dust and moisture. In theory, it can be immersed in water up to 1 meter deep for half an hour and this will not bring negative consequences for work.
In the Starlink installation video, SpaceX recommends determining the position of the nearest satellite using a smartphone, and based on this information, manually place the terminal using a stand. In general, the system consists of three components: the terminal itself, a special WI-FI-6 router, and a power supply.
