The CEO of social network X made an attempt to apologize to advertisers for the anti-Semitism attributed to the platform, but something went wrong and he publicly sent advertisers to f*ck off.

“If someone tries to blackmail me with advertising, blackmail me with money, then go to hell. Go f*ck yourself. Is that clear? I hope so,” Musk said at the conference and addressed Disney CEO Bob Iger, who previously spoke at the same event. “Hey Bob, if you’re in the audience.”

Recall that Musk’s latest controversial posts and comments regarding Jews have led to a powerful outflow of advertisers from X/Twitter. In particular, such giants as Apple and Disney left.

Musk also said that if advertisers don’t come back, then “this ad boycott will kill the company”:

“Everyone on Earth will know this. We’re going to die, and that’s because of the boycott of advertisers.” At the same time, Musk said that his visit to Israel is not an apology tour or a response to criticism of the posts. He provided a confusing explanation of what he meant—his belief that Jews were financing causes aimed at “exterminating” them.

Recall that a number of companies, including Apple, IBM, Disney, Paramount Global, refused to advertise in X. This happened after it became known that ads for Apple and others began to appear next to posts with radical conspiracy theories and anti-Semitic appeals.
