WhatsApp is launching a new feature for iOS that allows users to share photos and videos as documents to preserve their original quality. According to the company, users can now “easily send original-quality media as a file” as an alternative to the default compression.

This feature was noticed by a group of testers back in November. When the app on your phone is also updated, you can tap “+” in the chat and select “Document”, where you can select the photo or video you want to attach. However, there is a restriction: you can send files up to 2GB.

Also, WhatsApp is already testing this feature for Android users.
