Tech startup Kurs Orbital, founded in 2021 by Volodymyr Usov, former director of the Ukrainian Space Agency, is currently based in Turin. Its goal is to create the necessary technologies for the development of new human activities in space, to ensure the movement of satellites and the removal of space debris. Specifically, Kurs Orbital is developing approach and docking technologies using the ARCap module, which can be integrated into any spacecraft bus.

The Kurs Orbital system is based on the old Soviet Kurs system, designed to dock spacecraft with the Mir space station. But the highlight of Kurs Orbital is that its modules will be able to connect even to those devices that are not equipped with any docking equipment, which makes this system universal. Volodymyr Usov said that he managed to attract $4 million in investments, and the first ARCap module will be ready for space flight in the fourth quarter of 2025.
